Bragster loves it when you guys win stuff. So we wanna make it even easier for you to do so! This week we rolled out some little extras to make it even more obvious when a PRIZE is up for grabs. Check out the cool ICON!

This will show up on any official dares where prizes are on offer! You will also notice some changes when you click on the dare description…We’ve added a countdown timer which tells you how long until the dare is closed, as well as an outline of that you can win!
Stay tuned for more ways to win :)

Introducing: People to Dare!
June 5th, 2009
Well, here at bragster HQ, we've done something to help. Check out the people to dare board, found under "dares" then "people to dare", here.
It's your one-stop shop for getting dared! All you have to do is fill in your likes and dislikes, add yourself and you're up and running for everyone to see. This means:
- Any time you want a dare, you can let the world know!
- The dares you receive can be more personalised, as people will know your likes and dislikes.
So, what are you waiting for? Sign yourself up to get dared!
New and improved video player!
May 22nd, 2009

What to expect from the new player:
- A Whole New Look - Did the rollover play bar ever go strange on you? The player has been restyled in order to add stability and reliability to your viewing experience
- Widescreen and no more stretching - The player now supports widescreen (16:9) and doesn't stretch smaller videos so they look crap. Awesome!
- High Quailty Mode - When a video supports it, an 'HQ' button will be displayed. Clicking this will allow you to watch the video in even higher quality!
- bragster watermark - All videos now have a small 'bragster' watermark in the bottom-right corner, so when your content goes global everyone knows where to come to see more of your stuff!
- Even more video formats are now supported! - Sweet.
- Better processing - There should be much, much fewer issues such as sound missing or sync problems...
- Faster processing - ...and it'll be done quicker!
How's about that? As always, let us know what you think!
New features on bragster.com
April 3rd, 2009
The crew at bragster HQ are excited to announce some new features released in yesterday’s site update. These features give you even more options when it comes to interaction with other bragsters on the site.
We’ve introduced the “block user” feature. Clicking this button on someone’s profile ensures that this user cannot message you, or comment on your dares, brags, or profile.

This should give you greater control over who you communicate with on the site…and as always, if you have any queries please feel free to post them on our feedback group page.
In the meantime, rock and roll!
Hey Bragsters,
Here’s a quick note to let you know about a few new changes we’re making to the site today.
1. Bragging Rights – We’ve tweaked the algorithm for these a little, to give a greater weight to videos over pictures. While pictures can be cool, videos tend to be better most of the time, and we think they provide much better proof of the craziness you guys and girls get up to! As such, you’ll now get significantly more BR for your videos than your pictures.
2. Navigation – The “sub-nav”, as the technically-inclined call it, has been significantly changed, as you can see here:

As you can see, clicking on BragTV will now give you the three options of ‘Video Brags’ (the default), ‘Image Brags’, and ‘Hall of Fame’. This makes it much easier to find the kind of things you want to see. The same categories (up&coming, most BR, etc) as before are in the drop-down box, making it very easy to sort what’s hot, newest, and so on.
3. Cool/Lame – We’ve renamed the voting buttons to “Cool Brag” and “Lame Brag” – we think this makes it a little more obvious what the purpose of voting is, have a look:

The more observant of you may also have spotted the ‘This is not a brag!’ button in the image above – this feature isn’t quite ready yet (we’ve still to put the icing on that particular cake), but should be coming soon, and will help you guys let us know when someone is posting something that doesn’t belong to them, like a google image for instance.
We think the above changes, as well as more to come, will help to make Bragster a better and easier-to-use place for all our awesome users – but what do you think? – Be sure to let us know on the feedback group, by email, or in the comments here on the blog!
